This artwork began as the largest portrait of Jesus I have painted to date—an offering created in reverence and love. In the original oil painting, two hands are lifted in worship—my own and my husband’s—reaching together toward the face of our Lord. That shared gesture became the foundation of the entire composition: a visual prayer of unity, surrender, and trust.

Jesus is revealed here as both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God, embodying strength and gentleness in one sacred presence. The surrounding symbols—peaceful doves, the lion, the lamb, and the quiet cosmos—reflect His sovereignty, mercy, and eternal love that holds all things together.

For this art print edition, I have paired the image with a Marriage Prayer, allowing the artwork to extend beyond visual contemplation into spoken devotion. The prayer invites couples to remember their first love, to practice kindness and forgiveness, and to remain humble before God and one another.
